Rules in Nagasaki casino/how to play

Admission to the casino in Nagasaki and luggage inspection (passport)

Contents

1. Admission of Nagasaki Casino

Casinos overseas are generally free to enter, but the massive IR in Singapore charges about 8,000 to 9,000 yen (about 80 to 90 USD) only to citizens and such historical venues such as the Grand Casino in Monaco and CASINO DI VENEZIA Ca Vendramin Calergi charge 10 EUR to enter, even for foreign tourists.

Also, just like the Austria Casino, there are some casinos that offer pre purchase of tips and a system to pay entry fees for promotion attendance, or even casinos (often in Europe) that give you a drink or champagne ticket with no admission fee.

Nagasaki Casino will probably set an admission fee of 6,000 yen (about 60 USD) for both Japanese and foreign people and the number of entries will be limited to up to three times in a week and 10 times in 28 days as per the IR Implementation Bill passed on July 20 2018 in Japan.

Also, in terms of Japanese people entering the casino, it is possible that we will all have to provide our My Number Card.

2. Luggage inspection at Nagasaki Casino

Nagasaki Casino is one of three integrated resorts in Japan and the only IR facility in Kyushu, so as far as we know, for those casinos opened overseas, it can be thought that luggage inspection will be carried out thoroughly when entering into the casino.

It will not be an IR facility like in casino cities like Las Vegas and Macau, so it will not be free to enter without passport checks and luggage inspections and so at least simple luggage inspections will be carried out like in Singapore and the Philippines.

Also, at the Korea Casino closer to Nagasaki Casino, luggage is left with a clerk at the reception desk normally, so Nagasaki Casino may apply that system, too.

Some casinos in Europe charge about 1 EUR for using clerks for bags to leave, so that may possibly be applied, too.

At the same time, hats, sunglasses and cameras are often not allowed at smaller IR facilities or you need to leave them at the reception, but if Nagasaki Casino ends up like the Singapore casino, then it shouldn’t be so strict apart from cameras.

However, it’s normally best to leave bags except for valuables before entering a casino though.

3. Passport checking at Nagasaki Casino

Nagasaki Casino is the same as most casinos in other countries including Singapore and passports would have to be provided to check nationality and age for entering.

As for information, the whole town is a casino like Las Vegas and Macau with many casinos and self owned casinos mainly with slot machines and digital games and sport book shops in Holland and Australia that don’t require you to show your passport.

4. Other

At massive IR facility overseas, they often issue member’s cards when entering a casino, so points on cards accumulate when playing games and using restaurants there.

Nagasaki Casino may issue member’s card as well with a point system by playing games in casinos and shopping in Huis Ten Bosch.
